Freida Pinto, the star of Slumdog Millionaire was born on 18 October 1984 in Mumbai. Freida Pinto is an Indian actress and professional model, best known for her performance as Latika in her debut film Slumdog Millionaire, which won the Academy Award for Best Picture in 2009. She has done her schooling from Carmel of St Joseph School in Malad and finished her Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from St Xavier's College, Mumbai. She had also done modelling for two years and appeared in runway shows and magazine covers. She is a trained dancer in Salsa as well as Indian Classical dance forms.
